Reasons why Jesus is the supreme sovereign of the universe:
- All things have been created in and through Jesus.
- Jesus is the who and why behind everything we see and don’t see.G. K. Chesterton: ‘It is absurd to complain that it is unthinkable for an unthinkable God to make everything out of nothing, and then to pretend that it is more thinkable that nothing should turn itself into everything.’”
Arnold Penzey: “Astronomy leads us to a unique event. A universe which was created out of nothing. One with the very delicate balance needed to provide exactly the right conditions required to permit life and one which has an underlying, one might say supernatural, plan.”
- All things are held together by Jesus.

Deficiencies in teachings that compete with the Gospel
- False teaching only sounds good on the surface.
- False teaching is seduction.
- False teaching is based on human tradition.
- False teaching is not based on Christ.
