Romans 14:1-23
What do you do when two people who love the Lord have a difference of opinion on secondary issues and have come to two different conclusions?
Who’s right and who’s wrong? The one who loves people like a sibling is right.
1 Corinthians 8:11-13
Love others by allowing God to be the judge of disputable matters.
Love others by respecting their conscience.
Love others by sacrificing your own freedom.
Delay your own freedoms to benefit others and the Kingdom.
Love others by following your own conscience and not imposing it on others.
It is wrong in matters of opinion to believe we are right and impose that on others by condemning them as if they are wrong.
Four vital questions as to whether something is right or wrong for you to do:
- What does my Bible say?
- What does my conscience say?
- What does my weakness require?
- What does my friend need?
Love others by welcoming one another to the table as siblings.
