Here’s the problem when we don’t experience deliverance from our past: We give the past a much louder voice than it deserves.
Moses’ life can be summed up in 3 40-year time periods:
- An adopted child of Pharaoh’s daughter
- Fugitive in Midian
- A great leader of God’s people
First 40 years Moses thought he was somebody
Second 40 years Moses learned he was a nobody.
Third 40 years Moses discovered what God can do with a nobody.
Before Moses could deliver the people out of Egypt, God had to get Egypt out of Moses and Moses out of Egypt.
Moses needed delivered from his past so he could serve a greater purpose.
I know 4 things are from your past are impacting your present:
- Failure
- Disappointment
- Wounds
- Loss
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ And by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11b
